Love and Life

$ 1,950.00

27 x 27 in | Acrylic on Canvas | 2025

"Love and Life"" is a heartfelt portrayal of the Filipino family's strength, rooted in faith, hard work, and cultural identity. At the heart of the painting is a nurturing mother, gently teaching her children moral values through Bible reading , a symbol of spiritual guidance and unconditional love. In her hand is a ""pamaypay"", a traditional hand fan beautifully handcrafted by local artisans from Lopez, Quezon, symbolizing the warmth of Filipino care and heritage. Beside her stands the father, a quiet figure of strength and dedication, holding a bundle of freshly harvested rice in one hand, the fruit of his labor and devotion. In his other hand, he bears a light, illuminating the path for his family, signifying wisdom, hope, and the enduring role of the father as a guide and protector. Together, this family scene captures the essence of love lived through faith, culture, and everyday acts of service. It is a celebration of life where tradition, spirituality, and unity bloom harmoniously.

Whispers of the Fog

May vary depends on size to print | Photography | 2023

Whispers of the Fog captures a forest gently dissolving into a dense, enveloping mist, echoes of the quiet murmurs that often drift through our minds. Like thoughts that rise and settle, the fog blurs the line between clarity and confusion. This image invites us to see those inner whispers not as threats, but as part of our landscape. By observing them with presence and appreciation, we gain the power to navigate them, not be overcome by them.

The Journey. I would like to go with you from the deepest side of the clear sea, through our coral inspiration, and go higher and higher to the highest mountain. Finding on our way, that magical place in Kashmir, to see a saffron bloosom camp, to try a cup of yellow tea. and go higher, even more, to feel the clearness of the mind. That's just what we need. Surrounded only by the snow's smile.

There's an indescribable joy that fills my heart every time I step into my art studio. The moment I walk through the door, I am greeted by the comforting scent of paint and the vibrant colors that adorn the walls. This space is my sanctuary, a place where creativity flows freely and time seems to stand still. Spending time here is more than just a profession; it's a journey of self-expression and discovery. Each brushstroke, each splash of color, is a reflection of my innermost thoughts and emotions. The studio is where ideas come to life, where imagination knows no bounds. It's a place of peace, where I can lose myself in the rhythm of creation and find a sense of fulfillment that nothing else can provide. This painting, titled 'A Bond Beyond Borders,' is still in progress. In fact, I love the process—the journey to the final piece where my soul melts into every brushstroke. It's an experience that all artists know and cherish. There’s a unique magic in watching a blank canvas transform, capturing emotions and connections that transcend boundaries. The journey itself is a beautiful dance of creativity and passion.

This painting is more than merely colours, it serves as a reminder that children are like fresh canvases. Whatever you paint upon them today becomes the picture they carry into the world tomorrow. Raise them with gentleness, for the world will not always show them kindness. Teach them respect, because one day, someone will depend upon their words. Help them feel heard, so they never come to believe they must suffer in silence. If life once caused you pain, ensure that pain does not pass on. Perhaps you were strong enough to endure it but your child’s partner may not be. Heal, so that the wound is not inherited. Do not simply tell them what is right but live it. Children do not follow words; they follow actions. So it is important to be the person you wish them to become and shape their nature to be kind, not by pressure, but through practice. Speak with them. Laugh with them. Listen even when it does not seem urgent. Your friendship shall safeguard them more than your authority ever could. Ultimately, raising a good child is not solely a gift to your own home, It is a gift to society, to the future, and to every soul they encounter. This painting is not about children, it is also about the adults they are destined to become.

It is a painting of a rice paddy in Nueva Ecija, one of the provinces which produces rice in Central Luzon hence called the Rice Granary of the Philippines. This one is from a photographed I took while we were traveling through Talavera to San Jose City, my hometown in Nueva Ecija. Rice granaries are a refreshing sight to see, and keeping them is preserving nature besides feeding Filipinos their staple food.
